Admissions to the Puxi Campus
Parents seeking admission for their children are invited to make an appointment with Mrs Karen Jones, our Admissions Officer, in order to pay an initial visit to view the school. At that time, parents can discuss at length the future educational needs of their children and how we can best meet those needs. We recognise that it is often not possible, but it is helpful if children can accompany their parents on this first visit. Our Admissions Policy and the details of our Admissions Procedures offer useful guidance for this initial visit to the school. After touring the facility and meeting senior academic staff, parents wishing to secure places at our Puxi Campus are requested to complete Application Forms and to send these form(s) with a non-refundable Registration Fee of 6,000 RMB for each child to the school. This payment may be made in cash (RMB only), cheque (US$, GBP, HKD or RMB only) or bank transfer. On receipt of the Application Form and Registration fee, the Principal will confirm the offer of a place at the school and will send a copy of the School-Parent Contract. This should be signed by both the parents and returned with a refundable deposit of 10,000RMB. This deposit is refundable when the child leaves the school on condition all accounts have been settled in full, all school property is returned and required notice of leaving submitted. The deposit is forfeited if the child does not take up the place. At BISS Puxi we reserve the right to exercise discretion on age entry criteria. Children joining us from another school must provide the most recent reports from their current school, and parents are requested to ensure that any special educational requirements have been fully discussed before a place has been offered. Although BISS is the most inclusive of schools, we must reserve the right to exclude children when we believe that we cannot meet their behavioural or educational needs. |
