Our Week - The Principal Writes

The summer term continues to race by at an alarming speed. It is an incredibly busy time in all schools with the end of term events interlaced with report writing, the production of the school yearbook, school trips as well as the normal business of teaching and learning. At the beginning of the last few weeks of the year the schedule often seems daunting.

However all of the tasks do get completed and the people who do so most successfully are those who plan their time well and begin work early. They do not try to climb the mountain in a headlong rush. They create a plan and set themselves small achievable targets and deadlines that they do their utmost to stick to. They also plan in some extra time for unforeseen circumstances. In so doing the completion of their tasks, like the ascent to the summit of a mountain, becomes manageable and achievable and the process is not allowed to become too uncomfortable or rushed.
