Singing in Beijing

Twelve of our students have been practising very hard in preparation for a very important concert.

On Saturday October 16th the twelve young choristers, accompanied by Mr Thacker and Miss Dai, will depart for Beijing to perform a famous Danish song, ‘All Kinds of Weather’ at the Rosebud Theatre.  They will sing the song in Chinese to celebrate the close ties between China and Denmark.  The concert will feature the composer, Benny Andersen as well as other renowned Chinese and Danish musicians in a concert dedicated to the Danes lifetime of work. Following the concert on Sunday the choir will return to Shanghai performing at the World Expo, Exposition Stage on Monday evening.  This will be a fantastic event that I am sure will be one of the highlights in the closing weeks of this international event.
