Education for All

When you visit our School, be sure to say hello to the guards in English.

One Ayi and eight guards are dedicating three lunchtimes each week at our Secondary Campus for English and computer lessons taught by Secondary EAL Head, Roohi Iqbal, and year 8 Progress Co-ordinator and English teacher, Sandra Morris. A similar plan in place at the Primary School, with classes taught by EAL co-ordinator, Andrea Walsh. These lessons are organized to provide our staff with practice in speaking the language they are most expected to encounter at work, and also to help them become literate. One ayi and one guard are already reading English while others are learning to put words together. All lessons are differentiated to meet their individual needs, and are taught with the latest education technology.
