A Moving Performance

At the end of last week, the Glee Club gave their first performance to a delighted audience at the annual Nord Anglia Education Asia Conference.

Rising early on Thursday morning, approximately 65 students from year 3 to year 13 set off from the primary school to perform at the Pudong campus on the other side of the river.  They opened with a Kelly Clarkson song, followed by ‘Don’t Stop Believing’ by Journey, while Jenny Zhang (Y11) performed the Chopin waltz in E minor on piano and Ayaka Izumi (Y10) sang the Whitney Houston classic, ‘The Greatest Love of All’.

This was the Glee Club’s first performance and the 500 delegates from all of China were impressed and visibly moved by the show. One member of staff said: “I couldn’t think of a better way to start the day. The performance was invigorating!”

Parents, students and our community will have a chance to see the students in action at the Christmas Fayre on the 4 December - don't miss out.
