Extending Learning to Everyone

When you visit our Secondary School campus, be sure to say hello to the guards in English.

One Ayi and eight guards are dedicating three lunchtimes each week for English and computer lessons taught by Ms. Roohi Iqbal and Ms. Sandra Morris.  These lessons are organized to provide them with practice in speaking the language they are most expected to encounter at work, and also to help them become literate.  One Ayi and one guard are already reading English while most of the others are still learning to put  words together. All lessons are differentiated to meet their individual needs, and are taught with the latest education technology. A similar plan is in place at the Primary School, with classes taught by Ms. Andrea Walsh.

Chinese staff take part in English lessons to develop both their spoken and written language abilities.
