UK Maths Challenge

The Intermediate UK Maths Challenge took place on Thursday with 85 students from Years 9, 10 and 11 taking part - our greatest number to date.

Students have been preparing in class time and with homework tasks to gain bronze, silver and gold certificates and we hope some will get through to one of the next stages (age and score related). The problems are thinking problems and to begin with quite easy. However, later problems get quite challenging. Their ability to think creatively and select, use and apply mathematics is critical.

The questions and answers will be published on the UKMT website at the end of today for students and parents who are interested in finding out more. Students will be given some time in class to ask question about the challenge next week too.
