Our Parent Reps

Our 2010-2011 BISS Puxi Parent Representatives have now been confirmed for primary and secondary. There are 26 members in total, representing a broad coverage of nationalities, year levels of children, languages spoken and locations where they live.

We extend a very warm welcome to 13 new Parent Representatives. There are nine new members in Primary and four new in the Secondary group - some of the new members are also new to BISS this year while others have been with us for a year or more. The aims of the parent representative groups are:

  1. To provide a regular and ongoing channel of information between parents and the school;
  2. To act as a forum for the discussion of/feedback about Primary or Secondary-wide issues, as opposed to individual issues;
  3. To act as a critical friend of the school to help us fine-tune operations and policies.

You are welcome to approach any of the Parent Representatives below if you have any issues, concerns or comments (including positive ones) relating to the whole school (individual matters should continue to be brought to the attention of the classroom teacher or form tutor). They will put forward your views at an upcoming meeting (which are held approximately once every six weeks with me and the Head of Primary or Head of Secondary in attendance).

We are currently confirming contact and other information of each member and will publish these details next week.

Costume parades are one of the many ways we like to get parents involved in the life of the school.
